That day...

I often think about this moment.
The moment that Ben came into the world.
I think about how he had such a rough start in life
and how he proved to be such a fighter.
I think about all the intense battles he fought,
and how he defied the odds that were against him.
I think about the LOVE that he must have felt
as we rallied around him.
I think about the pain that he suffered
and how one doctor told me he couldn't feel pain.
I think about when the doctor told me
he would never come off the vent,
and then Ben surprised us all and he did.
I think about all the nurses that lovingly cared for him
and all the friends and family that cared lovingly for him.
I often think about that day...

Benji has proved so much against all odds in his almost 7 years of life. We are blessed to have him in our lives, and he is so blessed to have such a loving and caring family--at Dartmouth as well as home. Love this little angel.

How could you not think about it? I remember it, too. Sweet angel boy.

We remember it too. I remember Ben booking the first flights he could find so that we could be there with you. He has touched our lives as well as all those that he comes in contact with. I'm proud to be called his Aunt!

Benjamin has taught me so much, I'm sure the lessons he teaches you are overwhelming. I'm sorry his 1st day was so hard, but it was worth it! Hugs to Benjamin from Chloe. She was so excited to see him today!
