Missed you...

Dearest Benjamin, I miss you when you are not here. Last night you slept over at B's house. She's like your second mom and takes such great care of you. Last night was especially lonely. I didn't sleep well at all. My room was too quiet without you here. I missed the sound of your humidification running. I missed seeing the lights and hearing the alarms from your pulse oximeter. I missed listening to the humming of your feeding pump as it runs through the night. I missed the occasional suctioning that you so often need. I missed the chance to visit with you in the quiet hours of the night. I just plain missed you. Today you are home. My day is better because you are in it. Tonight I may not get a lot of sleep knowing that you will have needs to fill, but I know I'll sleep better knowing you are here. I love you Benjamin!

Sounds like you've got a wonderful friend in B. I would miss taking care of such a special boy too. I get excited every time I see you've update the blog because I miss his little face! What a cutie. Merry Christmas!

cute guy. He's blessed to have a second mom...no one can replace THE mom but it's nice to have back-up.

Glad he's back home...

What a great post, what a sweet boy, sweet mom, and sounds like a sweet "second mom" too. I'm sure Ben was happy to be home too.

Oh those pictures are precious! Sometimes when your heart's wrapped so tightly around someone, it's hard to get a good night's sleep without them :) LOVE YOU!

Hope you slept through the night when Ben arrived home, or as best you could. When we are so used to certain noises and then they are not there, it disturbs the psyche. Knowing he is cared for by another special angel I am sure puts your mind at ease. He is so cute.

It was nice to read how exactly you feel about your little precious boy. I think we can all relate with those we serve so much.
