The phenobarb really seems to help,
but I'm wondering if his levels aren't high enough.
He hasn't had these since his last hospital stay
when the dose was increased.
They've just started popping up again.
Hopefully the good Doctor
will be able to help us.
I'm including this video
so that I can show him what they look like.
It's quite disturbing...
Wish us luck!

oh wow. poor guy!!!
his eyes are my favorite.
It looks like a seizure? Is it? Does he have them often?
Emily, not sure...the EEG's never show any seizure activity because there really isn't brain to register. We treat them as if they are. Hard to know...
Sure looks like a seizure. Junior has had some focal seizures that look very similar. Prayers that the neuro can figure things out.
Ben you sure have some beautiful eyes.
I am sorry your off to your home away from home. :P I hope they can help him. Our prayers are with you.
I love you little benji.

Poor little guy! I hope you find out the problem. And don't let him stay at Dartmouth! Tell him it's just a quick appt and that's all! =)
Good luck Benji! Remember it's just a visit.
Brayden does the same thing with his eyes but not quite as extreme or for as long. Although the EEG doesn't show seizures, I've been told that brain stem activity acts as seizures as well...
Good luck & many prayers!

Oh I LOVE THOSE EYES! It almost looks like he's keeping track of way too many angels.
Hopefully the new meds will help!
