Remember that post I did about Ben's grave marker? Remember how the guy was supposed to get me a rough draft before proceeding? How long ago was THAT?!? He told me in 3 days he'd have it. I would say it's been close to three weeks. I finally drove back down today and walked in with a very irritated look on my face. I didn't have to say anything as the look on his face read GUILTY all over it. It's hard enough having to walk into one of those places, but to have them prolong the whole process is painful. I just want it over with. No more picking out lettering and pictures, deciding what color stone, how big, etc. The only good news is that I changed my mind on a few things so it would have had to be redone anyway. (wait, is that really good news?) I'm just frustrated that there was never any contact made. I'd go somewhere else except he's the only local business. I'm excited to see the finished product though. Scratch that. I'm not really excited. What's exciting about your child's grave marker? Pretty much NOTHING. But I'm looking forward to seeing more than just a patch of weeds and dirt. It will be nice to have his marker done and in the ground. Now I just need to decide what picture we will use. Any opinions on a favorite picture of Ben? :) These are just a few...I would love to know what you would choose.

Oh boy, any of those pics are adorable! The first one outside he looks so content, especially with the handsome hat on too. :) I can imagine how difficult and painful it must be to have to do this.
The first picture is my favorite. He looks so happy.
I've always loved the one of him in the leaves...
I love them all but I would choose the first or secone one. The one in the leaves makes him look like an angel which he was on earth and even more so now, and the first one he looks really well. The one with the sunnies and ear muffs on is SOOO cute but I would want one where you can see his eyes, and the last one is beautiful but I prefer the first two over it :)
Oh Becky these are all such beautiful pictures. I think I would have to choose the first or second picture.
How frustruating! You shouldn't have to wait so long, that's for sure!
As for the pictures....I love them all! But, I have always really loved looking at Ben in the 1st and 2nd pictures! Having to choose between those 2 would be hard for me though!
Love, Hugs and Prayers!!!
I vote for either the first or second picture. Love them both! I'm sorry that his grave marker is causing grief. You'd think if you were in that line of work you'd be extra sensitive about the difficultly for the families. You'd think...
Definitely number one, he looks like he is relaxed and content and I love the hat.
Sorry you're having these frustrations, I can't imagine dealing with even more on top of choosing your child's grave marker. I like number one... there is wisdom emanating from him in that one. But you can't go wrong with ANY picture of Ben... he's a beautiful child.
xo
Oh Becky...a mother shouldn't have to go through this frustration. Really. I'm glad you at least got to make those changes you want. I love picture #1 -- though he looks like a rock star in those sunglasses in #3!:) He's so beautiful isn't he? I just took a minute to look through some past pictures. I love his so kissable cheeks. It's amazing the spirit that shines through him. He's an incredible little boy. The lives he touched...what a blessing. Good luck getting his gravestone finished. Praying for you still!
i seem to be with the majority ...either the first or the second but how can uyou choose..can you not put the four on in a montage????
Becky,
The situation is crappy all around I love all of the pics of Ben! He is beautiful! The one in the leaves does make him look like an angel and that is why it is my fav. :)
Hugs and prayers!

2 has always been my favorite number!
I love that second picture.
Number 1 and 3 are my FAVORITE pictures of Ben, but #2 just seems so perfect.
I'm sorry this has been prolonged, could you go to someone in Nboro or is that not possible?
Love you!
Oh those pictures are so beautiful! I think I agree with everyone else, though I love them all. I'm so sorry the process is so difficult. I love you!
#2
I think #2--sweet picture. My word verification is "blessest"--isn't that ironic?
These are great pictures. I like boys in wheelchairs - call me biased!
So sorry for the frustrations! I'm glad, though, that you're finding lots of old cute pictures to keep you smiling. And us, too!
Love, Bree
I like the second one.
As I started to read your blog I was taken back. Oh how I remember that. I dont understand how that business can be like that. To be honest- Its just as important as the doctor saving their life. Because its now come to an end. You need things a certain way and you need to have peace where your loved one remains. I went through this. Being told it would take this amount of time and would be shorter if I paid for everything up front. So we emptied our saving, paid up front and still waited almost 6 months. I dont understand. Its such a sensative area. I do have to say those pictures are tooo cute. Ben is just perfect!
