SAYING HELLO

I took the girls down to MA to visit Ben this weekend.  His grave was overgrown with crabgrass.  We cleared it all hoping to get some grass planted soon.  I always feel so badly knowing that his grave has nothing on it, no stone or marker.  But it's all about money that we don't have right now.  So smart little Stevie decided to write his name in stones.  I thought she did a great job.  It was good to be near him again.

I'm sure he loves the stones just as much as any headstone you could give him.

What sweet picstures of you and your girls visiting Ben! Great jbb coming up with the stones idea! Love it!

BTW, When my husband's father passed away, they used a very large flat topped stone to mark his grave and they had it sandblasted with a picture on it and his name, etc. It was very inexpensive and it turned out great! I love going to visit his grave site and seeing it....it really stands out from the other headstones!

Hope you are able to get a headstone for Ben soon.....but if you can't, the stone letters are awesome! Love and Hugs!!!

Becky, is there a fund that people can onate to or the name of the funeral home or place that makes the head stone people could send 5, 10, 20 to. I know people would love to help. I know I would love to help. Please let us/me know.

There is a tradition in the Jewish faith when they visit a loved one's grave, they leave a stone on top of the grave marker. I don't know the exact meaning of that, but when I saw Ben's name written with stones, I thought of that. Stevie, that was a sweet gesture to mark your brother's grave site. You are always thinking. Also love the painted toes!!

What a wonderful idea to use the stones and write Ben's name. I wish I had been there to be with you on this visit. The next time I am in Northboro I will be sure to make that special visit.
